Obituary of Blanche R. MacBlane

MacBLANE Blanche R. Age 86 of Erin , NY passed away on Tuesday October 11 , 2011 . Blanche was born November 8 , 1924 in Erin , NY a twin daughter of the late Godfrey and Emily Muttle Cernik . She married her husband , James M. MacBlane Jr., on October 21 , 1950 and he pre-deceased her on September 27 , 2007 after nearly 57 years of marriage. Blanche was also pre-deceased by her twin sister Emily Merinen on June 17 , 2011 . Blanche loved her home and working around the house and feeding the birds and animals. Mrs. MacBlane is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law : James M. and Rose MacBlane III of Erin , NY and Robert M. and Julie MacBlane of Preble , NY ; daughter and son-in-law : Jacquelyn S. and Robert Anderson of Elmira , NY ; grandchildren : Jody , Rebecca , Robert and Bradley MacBlane , Beth and Todd VanDeBussche , Janet , Heather and James Anderson ; great grandsons : Anthony Castanzo and Parker VanDeBussche ; sister: Geraldine Audinwood of Tioga , NY ; step brother and step sister : Stanley Cernik and Gladys Smith ; sisters-in-law : Frances Gearing of Spencerport , NY , Betty Clark of Horseheads , NY , Margaret Elliott of Watkins Glen , NY , Theresa Pettit of Waverly TN , Loretta Lynch of Mesa , AZ , and Mary Johnston of Elmira Heights , NY ; several nieces , nephews , cousins , and a host of caring friends . Relatives and friends are invited to call at the LYNCH FUNERAL HOME 318 WEST BROAD STREET HORSEHEADS , NY on Thursday October 13 , 2011 from 6-8 PM . Mrs. MacBlane's Funeral Services will be held at the conclusion of calling hours with the Rev. Joseph Cotner officiating. Blanche will be laid to rest next to her beloved husband James in Scotchtown Cemetery in Erin , NY on Friday October 14 , 2011 at 9 AM . It was Blanche's wish that in lieu of flowers that she be remembered through acts of kindness to our wildlife.
