Obituary of Louise R. Stayer

STAYER , LOUISE R. (HARTMAN) Age 89 of Big Flats , NY passed away on Saturday May 3 , 2014 . Louise was born June 2 , 1924 in Big Flats, NY the daughter of the late Fred C. "Fritz" Hartman and Ruth Andrews Hartman . She married her husband Aaron O. "Butch" Stayer on January 19 , 1944 and he pre-deceased her on November 22 , 1995 . Louise was also pre-deceased by her granddaughter Karey L. Stayer on September 11 , 1992 as well as her brothers Dr. Guy Hartman and Elwin Hartman . Louise was a former member of North Presbyterian Church , a member of The Soaring Red Hatters , Women's Widow Groups and The Senior Citizens of Big Flats as well a volunteer at The Nutrition Center . Louise loved her family and friends and treasured the time she spent with them. Mrs. Stayer is survived by her sons Ronald C. (Kathy) Stayer of Lowman , NY and Kenneth J. (Colleen) Stayer of TN ; grandchildren : Michelle (Greg) Jelliff of Columbia Crossroads , PA , Anne ( Dr. Carlos) Garcia of Horseheads, NY , Amy (Aaron) Brott of Raleigh , NC , Deborah Stayer Kelly of Burdett , NY , and Aaron Stayer of Horseheads , NY ; 12 great grandchildren ; sister : Ellen Russell of Huntington Beach , CA ; several nieces , nephews , cousins , and a host of caring friends. It was Louise's wish that there be no prior calling hours. Relatives and friends are invited to attend Louise's Graveside Committal Services on Tuesday May 13 , 2014 at 11 AM in Rural Home Cemetery in Big Flats , NY where she will be laid to rest next to her beloved husband Aaron and her beloved granddaughter Karey .
