Obituary of Frances Lawana Gardner

GARDNER , Frances Lawana passed away on Monday Decemeber 17 , 2012 at the age of 94 at Founder's Pavilion in Corning , NY. She was born in Belleviille , Arkansas the daughter of John Anderson James and Mary frances Suggs James.. The family moved by wagon to a farm in Rush Springs , Oklahoma in 1934 and then moved to Texarkana , Texas. Frances had five children , Edythe Frances , Horace (Buddy) , James Raymond , William Thomas , and LaJaunah Berneice. Her sons Horace and William , her daughter Edythe and grandson James , her brothers Jesse , Ishamael , and Thomas Clyde (Sam) ,and her sister Berneice and her husband Dave Lairson preceded her in death. Frances had twelve gradchildren : Kenneth , Leia , Christopher , Colby , James , Jamie , Colleen , Peggy , J. Weldon , John R. , Alan , and Norene . She had nineteen great grandchildren , two great great grandchildren , and numerous step grandchildren and great grandchildren , nieces , nephews , and cousins including a niece Ruby and nephew Mike. Frances married James Gardner (Chief) in 1948 and he died in 1959. Frances moved to New York to be with her daughter LaJaunah in 2000. Relatives and friends are invited to attend Frances' Funeral Services on Thursday December 20 , 2012 at 1 PM at the LYNCH FUNERAL HOME 318 WEST BROAD STREET HORSEHEADS , NY. Interment in Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Elmira , NY.
