Obituary of Mark L. Lee

LEE , MARK L. Age 91 formerly of Elmira Heights , NY passed away on Sunday September 14 , 2014. Mark was born May 31 , 1923 in Barclay Township , PA the son of the late Ellicott Edgar Lee Sr. and Nina Woolsey Lee. He married his wife , Carole Jane Owen Lee , on November 11 , 1951 and she pre-deceased him on April 22 , 2012 after over 60 years of marriage. Mark was also pre-deceased by an infant daughter Nancy Anne Lee and his son-in-law Gary Bennett as well as his sister Myrtle Rose Stone and his brother Bryce H. Lee. He was a Veteran of World War II serving his country with The U.S. Navy . Mark retired from The American Bridge Works in Elmira Heights , NY and was a member of Elmwood Avenue Baptist Church. Mark loved his family and friends and treasured the time he spent with them. Mark is survived by his children Micelle (Rick) VanGorden , Mary (Al) Ervay , John L. (Lori) Lee , Betty Bennett , Ann (Bill) McLaughlin , Eileen (Tom) Keefe , and Sally (Joe) Santulli ; several grandchildren and great grandchildren ; brothers and sisters : Ellicott Edgar Lee Jr. , Daisy Miele , Lois Lee , Betty Bilcik , Barbara Scott , and John B. Lee ; several nieces , nephews , cousins , and a host of caring friends . Relatives and friends are invited to call at the LYNCH FUNERAL HOME 318 WEST BROAD STREET HORSEHEADS , NY on Thursday September 18 , 2014 from 2-4 PM. Mr. Lee's Funeral Services will be held at the conclusion of calling hours with Dr. Rev. David D. Sullivan officiating. Interment in Woodlawn National Cemetery in Elmira , NY at the convenience of the family .
