Obituary of John G. Mann

MANN JOHN G. Sr. Age 88 of Horseheads, NY passed away at home surrounded by his loving family on Friday November 14, 2014. John was born on August 21, 1926 in Corning, NY the son of the late William and Marion Garbon Mann. Mr. Mann married his wife , May Viola Waite Mann , on August 1 , 1946 and was pre-deceased by his loving wife on May 8, 2002 after nearly 56 years of marriage and by his son Robert W. Mann who passed away on March 11, 2001 as well as his brother William Mann and sister Kathleen Sward. John was the owner of Mann's Dairy Farm in Horseheads , NY . Mr. Mann is survived by his son : John G. "Butch" Mann of Horseheads, NY ; daughter : Barbara Kay Mann of Ponte Vedra Beach , FL; daughter and son-in-law : Vicki and Robert Egerton of Horseheads, NY; daughter-in-law: Gail Mann of Washington, D.C. ; grandchildren: Carissa Mann Parlato and Todd Parlato of Trumansburg, NY ; Tameka Mann of Baltimore, MD and Ashley Mann of Brooklyn, NY ; Matthew Egerton of Horseheads , NY and Michael Egerton of Philadelphia, PA ; great grandchildren: Phoebe Parlato and Casen Egerton; several brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law , nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of caring friends including long-time Family Friends and Caregivers Betsy Fares and Barbara Seals. Relatives and friends are invited to call at the LYNCH FUNERAL HOME 318 WEST BROAD STREET HORSEHEADS, NY on SUNDAY November 16, 2014 from 1-4 PM. Mr. Mann's Funeral Services will be held on Monday November 17, 2014 at 10 AM at the Funeral Home with the Rev. David Knuppenburg officiating. Interment in Pine Valley Cemetery.
