Obituary of Elnora A Savino

SAVINO, ELNORA A. Age 97 of Horseheads, NY passed away on Friday April 3, 2015. Elnora was born in Harrison, PA on May 18, 1917, the daughter of the late Clarence and Susie Fay Allen. She was pre-deceased by her loving husband of 60 years, Michael V. Savino, on August 21, 2007. She was also pre-deceased by her brothers and sisters, Edra Harvey, Reva Folnsbee, Faye Spencer, Neva Bower, Warren Allen, Clarence Allen, and Geraldine Strong and her brother-in-law and sister-in-law Daniel and Loretta Savino. Elnora is survived by her children, Joan Wallis of Schenectady, NY, Mary (Bert) Davenport of Cortland, NY and Frank Savino of Horseheads , NY ; her grandchildren, Martin Wallis, Elizabeth (Oscar) Adema, Caralyn Wallis, Frank Davenport, Katie (Sean) McGinty and Kiersten (Tommy) Sheahan ; her great granddaughter, Emma McGinty; her sister, Susie (Sam) Chinelli of Rochester, NY and brother-in-law, Thomas (Jan) Savino of Elmira, NY along with several nieces and nephews and former daughter-in-law: Kim Savino of Horseheads,NY. Elnora was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, and homemaker. She loved doing crossword puzzles and was an avid reader. Always competitive, she played a mean game of cards and enjoyed watching her Yankees play ball. Relatives and friends are invited to call at the LYNCH FUNERAL HOME 318 WEST BROAD STREET HORSEHEADS,NY on Thursday April 9, 2015 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday April 10, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Mary Our Mother Church in Horseheads, NY and Interment will follow in St. Mary Our Mother Cemetery. Flowers are acceptable or those wishing may remember Elnora through memorials to a charity of one's choice.
