Obituary of Jeffrey D. Rosenberg

ROSENBERG , JEFFREY D. Age 57 of Elmira , NY and formerly of Ithaca,NY passed away on Sunday January 3 , 2016 at home surrounded by his loving family. Jeffrey was born February 10 , 1958 in Corning , NY the son of the late Arnold and Dee Loures Kier Rosenberg . He was a graduate of Elmira Free Academy and received his Bachelor's Degree from Alfred University . Jeffrey was an Insurance Broker in Ithaca and Elmira for many years. He was an avid water skier , enjoyed collecting coins , and was a member of Uncle Joe's Softball Team in Ithaca, NY. Jeffrey loved traveling with his wife and taking cruises. He was very supportive of his wife Bonnie and her flower shop Floral Fantasy in Elmira , NY. Jeffrey was an active member of The Colostomy Support Group in Elmira , NY . He loved his family and friends and treasured the time he spent with them . Jeffrey is survived by his loving and devoted wife Bonnie M. Raniewicz ; his loving daughter Emily E. Rosenberg of Elmira , NY ; step-daughters : Christina Faulkner of Syracuse , NY ; step-mother: Arlene S. Rosenberg of Safety Harbor , Florida ; sisters and brothers-in-law : Karen S. Rosenberg of Kirkland , WA , Jill A. & Paul Forleo of Pittsford , NY , Lisa N. & Scott Bush of Elmira , NY , and Myra J. Maciag & Ron Crouse of Rochester , NY ; brothers : Gary S. Kinner and John P. Kinner both of Safety Harbor , Florida ; his faithful canine companion "Buddy" ; many additional relatives and extended family including nieces and nephews Billy P. Forleo , Katie A. Forleo , and Rachael D. Maciag and step daughter Jozlyn Parsons of Spencer , Ny and her son Owen Parsons. Relatives and friends are invited to a Memorial Gathering on Wednesday January 6 , 2016 at 7 PM at the home of Lisa and Scott Bush 386 Watercure Hill Road Elmira , NY. Jeffrey's Family will receive friends on Thursday January 7 , 2016 from 10 AM to 12 Noon at the LYNCH FUNERAL HOME 318 WEST BROAD STREET HORSEHEADS , NY . Jeffrey's Funeral Service will be held at the Funeral Home at 12 Noon following Calling Hours with Rabbi Oren D. Stenitz officiating .
