Obituary of Glenn Harlan Stanbro
STANBRO GLENN HARLAN, 65, passed away on January 25 at the Bath VA Medical Center. Glenn was born in Elmira, NY to Duane Arba Stanbro and Sarah Elizabeth Corbin on February 17, 1950. He graduated from Thomas A. Edison High School in 1969. He then enlisted in the United States Army and served in Germany during Vietnam until 1971. Glenn was a very charismatic, witty, fun-loving guy with a sensitive spirit who captured the friendship of many. He had a strong love for music; self-taught on the piano, drums, and guitar, but it was the guitar he enjoyed playing most. He had a true gift for art and a fantastic sense of humor. It was hard to know Glenn and not be affected by his charisma. He would want us all to celebrate his life with a smile. Glenn is survived by his two children: son, Aaron Christopher Stanbro, and daughter, Elissa Marie Stanbro, both of West Chester, PA; the mother of his children, Karen Storch of Elmira; brother and sister-in-law Gary and Joyce Stanbro of Millport; sister and brother-in-law Wendy and Joe White of Elmira. Visitation will be held at LYNCH FUNERAL HOME, 318 WEST BROAD STREET HORSEHEADS,NY on Saturday, February 6, 2016 at 10 AM. A Memorial Service will follow at 11 AM with Pastor Patrick Neyman of Full Gospel Church officiating. Glenn will be laid to rest in Pine Valley Cemetery, next to his beloved parents.
