Obituary of C. J. Buchanan

BUCHANAN C. J. Age 20 of Erin, NY passed away on Thursday March 24, 2016 very unexpectedly. C.J. was born June 16, 1995 in Elmira, NY the son of Thomas and Michelle Skorniak Buchanan. He was a graduate of Horseheads High School Class of 2013. C.J. was pre-deceased by his grandparents Robert McGinnis, Rita and Richard Durgin , Clarence "Dutch" Buchanan, and Dave Starkweather. C.J. is survived by his parents Thomas Buchanan of Erin, NY and Michelle Buchanan of Elmira, NY; sisters: Amanda Buchanan of Ithaca, NY and Mya Buchanan of Elmira, NY; paternal grandmother Sylvia Starkweather of Horseheads, NY; aunts and uncles; James Buchanan and Family, Kim Buchanan, Robert and Kathleen McGinnis and Family, Douglas and Christine McGinnis and Family, Denise and Joe Mullaney and Family, Joseph McGinnis, and Deb Durgin (Beth). A young man full of spirit and life, C.J. had endless determination, a great sense of humor and was compassionate. He loved his family and had many friends, including a special friend Claire. C.J. had epic air soft battles, enjoyed gaming, loved the outdoors, liked to hike and explore new places, and spend time with family and friends. His life ended far too soon. He had so much left to do and many big dreams and ambitions in life. We will miss him every minute of every day. Relatives and friends are invited to call at the LYNCH FUNERAL HOME 318 WEST BROAD STREET HORSEHEADS, NY on Monday March 28, 2016 from 5-8PM. C.J.'s Funeral Services will be held at the conclusion of calling hours at 8PM with the Rev. William Lutz Officiating.
