Obituary of Elizabeth A. Grose

GROSE , ELIZABETH A. Age 62 of Horseheads , NY passed away on Wednesday April 6 , 2016 at Robert Packer Hospital . Elizabeth was born March 1 , 1954 in Bath , NY the daughter of the late Stanley J. and Ann M. Kroczynski Smolos . She married her husband , Eugene F. Grose, on December 11 , 1976 and he pre-deceased her on January 23 , 2003. Elizabeth was also pre-deceased by brothers Alvin Dykes , Matthew Dykes , and Richard Dykes . Elizabeth was a loving wife, mother , and grandmother who dedicated her life to her family . She enjoyed sewing and fixed broken and worn dolls and donated them to children . Elizabeth was an individual that would help anyone with any project or problems that they had . She was a long-time communicant of St. Mary Our Mother Church in Horseheads , NY. Mrs. Grose is survived be her daughters and son-in-law : Shannon Harsh of Fayetteville , NC and Angela & Vincent Herrington of Bath , NY ; son : Steven Grose of Elmira , NY ; grandchildren : Brittany Van Amburg , Dylan Robinson , Selina Grose , Kaitlyn Grose , Hunter Grose , Emma Herrington , and Ann Harsh ; sisters: Peggy Dykes and Arlene Kimble : several aunts , uncles , nieces , nephews , cousins , and a host of caring friends. Relatives and friends are invited to call at the LYNCH FUNERAL HOME 318 WEST BROAD STREET HORSEHEADS , NY on Sunday April 10 , 2016 from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Elizabeth's Funeral Services willl be held at the Funeral Home on Monday April 11 , 2016 at 10 AM with Deacon Joe Erway officiating . Elizabeth will be laid to rest next to her beloved husband Gene in Bath National Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
