Obituary of William Kenneth Weingartner
WEINGARTNER WILLIAM KENNETH Age 81 of Horseheads, NY passed away on Tuesday July 5, 2016. He was born in East Orange, NJ on March 27, 1935 the son of the late William and Lydia Fuhlhaber Weingartner. He lived in Irvington, NJ until his family moved to Horseheads, NY after he finished High School. William graduated from Rider University with a Journalism Degree and spent his career in the newspaper business working for the Ithaca Journal as a newspaper Editor. He resided in Horseheads in the same house his family moved to all those years before. He had a love of fish and enjoyed fishing with his dad at their cabin in his youth. As an adult he became interested in horse racing and was a partial owner with his late brother, Bruce, and other partners in several race horses. William is also pre-deceased by his brother Bruce Weingartner, and sister-in-law: Angela Weingartner. Mr. Weingartner is survived by his nephews Ken Weingartner (Lana) & Brian Weingartner (Rose) and niece, Laura Weingartner.
