Obituary of Jennifer Ann Rhoads

RHOADS, JENNIFER A. "JENNY" (PALYUN) Age 59, of Horseheads, NY. Jennifer was born in Corning, NY on September 20, 1957. Jenny was a loving wife, devoted mother, conscientious sister and vivacious friend to all died unexpectedly of natural causes at home February 2, 2017. Well-known for her ebullient, animated personality, she will be affectionately remembered by her passion for ensuring those whom she had adopted were appropriately and affectionately cared for, or "mothered." She imparted her generosity and vigorous hosting-style on all she encountered. Jenny had a fondness for traveling, a love for being near water and was an avid host of parties and events. Her exquisite cooking, appreciation of fine wine and fervor for making every part of life a cheerful, high-spirited celebration, inspired and exhilarated anyone who had the privilege of knowing her. She was pre-deceased by her father Joseph J. Palyun and her mother Constance K. (Keeler) Palyun. Jennifer is survived by her husband of 38 years, Randy L. Rhoads, her two adult sons and their wives—Gregory J. Rhoads and Kathleen C. Rhoads (Smith) and Christopher M. Rhoads and Melissa D. Rhoads (Cremer)—two brothers Jeffery P. Palyun and Joseph J. Palyun—and a large group of extended family and friends. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated on Wednesday February 8, 2017 at 10 AM at St. Mary Our Mother Church 816 W Broad St. and Westinghouse Road Horseheads, NY.
