I had the very distinct pleasure of meeting Ruth around 1972 when I was a young teenager. I worked summers with her at Tobey's Bakery on Lake Street in Elmira until 1975-ish, then occasionally at Tobe's Bake Shop in Watkins Glen until around 1978.
She was such a beautiful woman with the patience of a saint and always chewing on a little piece of gum. I was often amazed at how, even at 3:30 in the morning, her eyes would just sparkle when she flashed that "all-knowing" grin. Ruth was certainly a positive influence in my young life and I will not forget her.
Vinceeni.. I offer you from my heart, my deepest sympathy and condolence, to you especially, and to your family. Your Mom was such a wonderful woman, and I know my life was made better by knowing her. Thank you Ruthie and God bless you.

To Ruth's Family
You have lost a beautiful lady
that was so caring for every person she met.
I stopped at Gerow's Dairy just for my visit with Ruth
I will truly miss her. She touched so many lives I also know I will see her again someday and we'll have a talk. My prayers are with you all.

Ruth was one of the sweetest, kindest women I ever met. My condolences on your loss. I have met many of her family and the Lord's hand on the family is very evident. I pray the Lord to strengthen you all and that there be a great celebration in your hearts knowing she is in the presence of her Savior Jesus.
