Obituary of Katharine E. Cullen

CULLEN KATHARINE E. "KAY" (ZEIGLER) Age 98 a life-long resident of Horseheads, NY passed away on Sunday April 2, 2017. Kay was born on August 21, 1918 in Elmira, NY the daughter of the late Joseph McKinley and Evelyne Snyder Zeigler. She was married to her loving husband Robert J. Cullen who pre-deceased her on February 1, 1990. Mrs. Cullen was a retired assembly worker for LRC Electronics in Horseheads, NY. In addition she was pre-deceased by her great grandson Matthew Pettinato; sisters and brother-in-laws: Carolyn M. and Allen R. "Frosty" Frost; Dorothy and Charles Draper, Bernice and Jack Young, Betty and Franklin Whitman; brother and sister-in-law: Joseph and Barbara Zeigler. Mrs. Cullen is survived by her sons: James Cullen and Tom Cullen both of Horseheads, NY; daughters and sons-in-law: Carol and Marcelino Weiss of Austin, Texas and Connie and Thomas Nightingale of Leander, Texas; 9 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of caring friends. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial Celebrating Kay's Life on Saturday September 9,2017 at 10 AM at St. Mary Our Mother Church in Horseheads, NY. She will be laid to rest next to her beloved husband Robert J. Cullen in Maple Grove Cemetery. Those wishing may remember Kay through memorials to a charity of one's choice .
