Obituary of Margaret C. Wendling

WENDLING , MARGARET C. (PEGGY SPICER) Age 78 of Millport , NY passed away on Wednesday July 17 , 2013 at The Arnot Ogden Medical Center. Peggy was born August 7 , 1934 in Williamsport , PA the daughter of the late William R. and Mary Kirkwood Yeagle . She was also pre-deceased by her sisters Martha Jane Harris , Patricia Keller , and Alice Schmouder . Margaret married her husband , George F. Wendling Jr., on May 16 , 1981 and he pre-deceased her on July 22 , 2012 . Peggy was a waitress at Nick's Restaurant in Horseheads , NY and at Earle's Ice Cream in Elmira , NY for many years. She loved her family and friends and cherished the time she spent with them. Mrs. Wendling is survived by her son : Edward Wendling & Janette Hevner of Woodhull , NY ; grandchildren : Brenden Wendling , Kristina Wendling , and Kaleb Hevner ; brother : William P. Yeagle of Millport , NY ; special daughter : Mary & Bill Wallis of Horseheads , NY ; several nieces , nephews , cousins , and a host of caring friends. Relatives and friends are invited to call at the LYNCH FUNERAL HOME 318 WEST BROAD STREET HORSEHEADS , NY on Monday July 22 , 2013 from 1-3 PM. Mrs. Wendling's Funeral Services will be held at the conclusion of calling hours at 3 PM with Pastor Mark Dieterle officiating . Peggy will be laid to rest next to her beloved husband George in Riverside Cemetery in Lowman , NY.
