Obituary of Ronald W. Hynes

RONALD W. HYNES Age 82 of Horseheads,NY passed away on Monday July 9 , 2018 . Ron was born May 5 , 1936 in Elmira , NY the son of the late Harry and Beatrice Cowell Hynes. He was a Veteran serving his country with The U.S. NAVY from 1957 to 1961. Ron was a real estate procurement specialist for NYSEG prior to his retirement . He was a member of The First United Methodist Church of Breesport and a volunteer at The Arnot Ogden Medical Center in Elmira , NY . He enjoyed scuba diving and underwater archeology finding sunken treasures in The Finger Lakes and other places. In addition to his parents , Ron was pre-deceased by his sister Delores Scullin and his brother Sonny Hynes . Ron is survived by his loving and devoted daughter Kimberly Hynes Ripley of Kailua- Kona , Hawaii ; grandsons: Mitchell A. Ripley & his fianc? Aubrey-Lynn Becraft and Dane T. Ripley ; great grandson Mason Tyler Ripley: son: Ronald D. Hynes of Kansas City, MO; several nieces , nephews , cousins , and a host of caring friends. Relatives and friends are invited to call at the LYNCH FUNERAL HOME 318 WEST BROAD STREET HORSEHEADS , NY on Thursday July 12 , 2018 from 4-6 PM . Ron's Funeral and Committal Services will be held at the conclusion of calling hours at 6 PM where Full Military Honors will be accorded Mr. Hynes .The Rev. Mary Anne Bernard will officiate . Ron will be laid to rest at Woodlawn National Cemetery in Elmira , NY.
