Obituary of Margaret J. Eastburn

MARGARET J. "PEGGY" EASTBURN age 79 of Horseheaads, NY passed away on Sunday January 27, 2019 . Peggy was born June 4 , 1940 in Phildaelphia,PA the daughter of the late John J. and Blanche McGreavy Eastburn. She was also pre-deceased by her sister Frances Eastburn. Peggy was communicant of St. Mary Our Mother Church in Horseheads, NY and a long-time voluteeer at St. Joseph's Hospital in Elmira , NY where she gained many special freindships. She was the recipient of the Volunteer of the Year Award. She was an active member and resident at Able2 in Horseheads, NY. Peggy is survived by her sister Connie Wasson of Augusta,GA ; nieces and nephews : her GodChild Debra Wagonheim of VA , Cheryl Curtis and her husband and their 2 children of VA , Darlene Cantrell and her husband and their 3 children of Augusta , GA , and Raymond Wagonheim and his wife and their 2 children of Pittsburgh, PA ; cousin Mary Reis ; her caregivers and house-mates at ABLE 2 and her many friends. A Celebration of Peggy's Life will be held on Wednesday February 20 , 2019 from 12 Noon to 2 PM at The Elmira Community Kitchen 556 St. Joseph's Blvd. Elmira , NY 14901 . Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial celebrating Peggy's Life on Saturday June 8 , 2019 at 10 AM at St. Mary Our Mother Church 816 West Broad Street Horseheads, NY . Peggy will be laid to rest in St. Mary Our Mother Cemetery next to her parents .
