Obituary of Edward F. Armstrong

ARMSTRONG , EDWARD FRANCIS Age 70 of Erin , NY passed away peacefully with his family at his side on Wednesday October 9 , 2013 . Edward was born in Elmira , NY on February 23 , 1943 . He married his wife , Deannie L. Andrade Amrmstrong , on December 26 , 1963 and they would have celebrated their 50 th Wedding Anniversary on December 26 , 2013. Ed was pre-deceased by his mother Margaret , brother Freddy , sister Rosemary , and by his grandson James Thomas . Ed is survived by his loving and devoted wife Deannie ; daughter : Karen Thompson & Eric Struble ; sons : Mark , Michael , Scott (Amanda) , and Chris ( Michelle) Armstrong ; 13 grandchildren and 1 great granddaughter . He was retired from Schweizer Aircraft and was an avid Ham Operator. Ed also served honorably in The Army Reserves and The National Guard from 1964 - 1968. He loved his family and friends and treasured the time he spent with them and his canine companions . Ed's Family will hold a private family service . de W2YCA .
