Obituary of Louise Theopheles

Louise Theopheles Age 95 of Horseheads, NY formerly of Elmira Heights passed away on Thursday July 16, 2020. Louise was born on April 6, 1925 in Scranton, PA the daughter of the late Charles and Mary Rayias Maleakas. She was a lifelong member of the Horseheads Elks Lodge #2297 and she was a member and "In good standing" of the St. Athanasios Greek Orthodox Church in Elmira, NY. She was pre-deceased by her husband Peter Theopheles in 1994; brother: George Maleakas; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law: Metaxia and Samuel Peppas; Jim Diaz; Jean and Jerry Diacatos; and Lucille Theopheles. Mrs. Theopheles is survived by her son and daughter-in-law: Harry and Lisa Theopheles of Troy, NY; daughter: Alexis Theopheles of Dade City, FL; grandchildren: Ben Theopheles, Celena Theopheles, Sarah Reed; great granddaughter: Emma Reed; great grandson: Jordan Theopheles; sister-in-law: Agnes Maleakas of Rhode Island; sisters and brother-in-law: Harriet Diaz of Mechanicsburg, PA; Angeline Maleakas of Scranton, PA; and James Theopheles of Horseheads, NY; several nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of caring friends. A gravesite service will be held on Tuesday July 21, 2020 at 1PM at Woodlawn Cemetery in Elmira, NY with the Rev. Richard Scott Officiating.
