Just learned this evening - Fr. Brown said Mass for us at the Washington Navy Yard for many years. We also had him over to our home a few times. What a kind and wonderful soul. He radiated love. God’s Peace Father!

I am just now learning of Father Brown’s passing. My Mother, Joyce Patridge, was a very close friend of Father Brown. He was part of my life since I was a small child. His passing is a huge loss. God Bless him and his family and friends he leaves behind. I hope he has met up with my Mom and all the other Fairport friends who are now in Heaven. Pam Patridge, Fairport, NY

Only knew Father Brown for 3 years, but long enough to see Him as a true Man of God! An a spinner of a terrific story, or joke at the drop of a hat! He will be missed by many

I am Father Dave Holloway from Kansas City, MO. The Navy Chaplain community will sorely miss Fr. Lew Brown. He was a great friend, a truly great mentor, a teller of many stories (some of which actually happened), and a truly Catholic gentleman, kind, considerate, and generous to all. I enjoyed visiting Lew several times in Painted Post, Corning, Elmira. My condolences to his family, all his other friends, and parishioners he touched.
God Bless
Fr. Dave Holloway

Father Brown was the kindest, most selfless Person I have ever known. His passing will be a great loss to the parish and the community. I know that you are in heaven now , Father Brown. Knowing it is now your time to rejoice with God and all the angels and saints brings me comfort. It is now our time to try and be selfless and set our grief over losing you aside and rejoice in your eternal peace and happiness.
Most sincerely,
Liz and Dave Brown
