Marty was my best friend in high school. We formed this friendship in elementary school and during Little League . He was part of a great little league All Star Team that went to Williamsport for a game. As we played baseball we fostered a friendship over playing golf. We played almost every day teeing off at 7am in the fog over Mark Twain Golf course. The together we founded the golf team.We succeeded in getting new golf balls and playing on courses that had expensive green fees. This led us to get our Varsity H. I remember our bridge club but I think that our band at HHS was a source of further friendship. Our Trumpet Trio was a great fun to play with Marrty, Don Miller and to be accompanied by Patricia Spencer . That is a great memory.
We both went off to college and to different parts of the country. As Marty started a practice in Elmira I was changing careers and starting a residency. At our 50 th reunion we remarked that for some reason we both ended up as doctors. AS Harold Merry use to say " Be Good for Something" Marty certainly was that as a physician and father and grandfather. I spoke with him shortly before he died and my friend was hoping to carry on. It saddens me that I will not speak with him again Rest in Peace, Old Friend

Sending thoughts and prayers for Marty's family. My Mother & his Mother Jean were best friends. I spent a lot of time at his parent's home growing up.
RIP Marty.
