I got to know Joy after marrying her sister, Donna Marie in the early 70s. What a lady! She flew 3,000 miles west to visit us not once but three times, two times when she was in her eighties. She was kind, loyal, careful with her words, and as gracious as they come. And I can still hear her laugh, which she shared at every opportunity. My heart goes out to her family, but I hope they can take heart in knowing hers was a life lived fully. It was always clear that she loved her children above all else.
