Obituary of Donald L. Reidy

Donald L. Reidy age 77 of Horseheads, NY passed away on Friday August 27, 2021 at home surrounded by his loving family. Don was born March 24, 1944 in Elmira, NY the son of the late Daniel J. Reidy Jr. and Blanche Wilcox Reidy. Don was also pre-deceased by his brothers Joseph A. Reidy and Jack Reidy as well as his step-mother Vanona Woodruff Stanton Reidy. He was the owner of Paramount Bowling Lanes for several years. Don married his wife Sharon M. Van Ben Coten on April 7,1972 and they recently celebrated their 49th Wedding Anniversary on April 7, 2021. Don loved his family and especially treasured the time he spent with his grandchildren. Don is survived by his loving and devoted wife Sharon; his children : Beth Orcutt DeWitt and Mike DeWitt of Midlothian, VA , Carl J. Keegan and Becka Breon of Lowman, NY, Sharlyn Keegan of Elmira, NY , Donald D. Reidy of Fort Collins, CO, James and Trisha Reidy of Easton, PA and Julius J. Keegan of Rochester, NY ; sister and sisters-in-law: Sandy (Mrs. John) Balonis, Sundae (Mrs. Jack) Reidy , and Maureen and James Troccia ; several grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins. It was Don's wish that there be no services at this time. He will be laid to rest in St. Peter & Paul's Cemetery in Elmira, NY at a future date.
