Obituary of EvaAnnetta Coher

EvaAnnetta "Pinky" Coher age 98 of Horseheads, NY formerly of Falls Creek , PA passed away peacefully on Friday September 2, 2022 at Bethany Manor. She was born December 22, 1923 in Falls Creek , PA the daughter of the late James Leonard Snell and Edna Mae Quinn Snell . Pinky married her husband , Merle R. Coher , on January 31, 1941 and he pre-deceased her on February 9 , 2003. She worked for a group of physicians in DuBois, PA for many years and also ran a credit bureau in Pennsylvania for multiple counties. Pinky was a life-long member of The First United Methodist Church in Falls Creek , PA . She was a charter member since 1940 of The Womens' Society of Christian Service (WSCS) and continued her dedicated service when she and Merle moved to Horseheads, NY and became members of The First Unted Methodist Church of Horseheads. In addition to her parents and her husband , she was pre-deceased by her twin great grandsons Joseph and James Katsur and her grandson-in-law Joseph A. Katsur as well as a special friend Lance Muir. Pinky loved her family and friends and treasured the time she spent with them. Mrs. Coher is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Nancy and David Kallenborn of Horseheads, NY ; grandchildren: Kimberly (Mrs. Joseph A.) Katsur of Wayland, NY and John Richard "Rick" and Mary Kallenborn of Elmira, NY ; great grandchildren: Nicole Katsur of Wayland , NY , Dr. Jessica Kallenborn and Rachel Plott of Cleveland, Ohio , and Kelli Kallenborn Makowski and Richard Makowski of Erie, PA ; several nieces, nephews , cousins , a multitude of caring friends, and extended family in Horseheads and was "Nana" to many. Pinky's Family would like to thank Kim Shearer R.N. , Skilled 3 Nurse Manager and her staff at Bethany Manor for their excellent and loving care given to Pinky. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Service celebrating EvaAnnetta's Life on Saturday September 10, 2022 at 1 PM at The First United Methodist Church of Horseheads 1034 West Broad Street Horseheads, NY with her Pastor Rev. Jeff McDowell officiating. Pinky will be laid to rest with her husband Merle in Woodlawn National Cemetery in Elmira, NY.
