Words are like nets - we hope they'll cover what we mean, but we know they can't possibly hold that much joy, or grief, or wonder. - Jodi Picoult Join in honoring their life - plant a memorial tree

I wrote this thinking of you today William
The sounds of the cold crisp river flowing downstream.
The leaves crinkle and blow with the breeze.
Trees sway but stand tall and firm.
These are the sounds I think of.
The sound of a reel letting go of it's line.
If only heartache could be cast away too.
Lures and bait hitting the water with force.
But not compared to the force of grief we feel.
Determined to catch, and hold firm the one.
If only we can catch and hold the one we want.
A mother is denied the one she wants.
A sister.
Children.
Friends.
A nipple, a bite, a jerk.
The things I've seen and you've taught.
A jerk.
A jerk.
A jerk.
The sounds of the reel bringing the one to you.
The one you wanted
A jerk.
Can someone jerk me, shake me, wake me.
I have no pole, no power greater than He.
He has called you home.
I must find peace and comfort.
One day, the sounds we will enjoy.
Laughter, the river flowing, trees, leaves, the reel, the bait, your smile,
We shall hear and feel them all together.
For now I grieve and thank God for every memory we have.
I will listen in solitary of the
The sounds of the cold crisp river flowing
With life, wonder, and peace.
At peace
I love you
