Obituary of Karen A. Robbins

Karen A. Robbins (age 56) of Elmira, NY passed away on Saturday, July 15th, 2023.

Karen was born November 22nd, 1966 in Elmira, NY to Lee and Vivian Gustin Robbins.

She is survived by her sons: Joseph "Raice" Weller (Rebecca) of Liverpool, NY and Zachary Heifferon (Katherine) of Fairport, NY; granddaughter: Lucy Heifferon (Zachary's) of Fairport, NY; mother: Vivian Robbins of Horseheads, NY; sister: Pamela Tarver (Paul) of Meridian, MS; fiancé: Carl Tremaine of Sanford, FL; friend; Bill W., and many other caring aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and colleagues.

She was pre-deceased by her father: Lee Robbins; brother: Michael Robbins; sister: Debra Lattin; and niece: Alicia Hoover (Pamela's).

As the Executive Officer for the Wings of Eagles Discovery Center, Karen was able to share her passion for Space and Aviation with the community through WEDC's many STEM education programs and scientific exhibits. The memorial and celebration of Karen's life will be held from 2-5 PM on Saturday, July 22nd 2023 at the Wings of Eagles Discovery Center (339 Daniel Zenker Drive, Horseheads, NY 14845).
