Obituary of Lillis May Wood

WOOD Lillis "Lil" May Age 89 formerly of Horseheads , NY passed away on Sunday September 11 , 2011 at her son's home in California . Lil was born January 5 , 1922 in Waverly , NY the daughter of the late Beaman and Maybelle Morton Besley . She was pre-deceased by her husband , Percy LeRoy Wood , on December 27 , 1999 and by her son James W. Wells and sister Dora B. Brown . Lil was a retired employee of LRC Electronics in Horseheads , NY. Mrs. Wood is survived by her son and daughter-in-law : Charles H. & Barbara Wells of Lancaster , CA ; step children : Ronald & Diane Wood of Corning , NY , Pam Sowersby of Corning , NY , Sandy Barber of California and Darlene Wood of Arizona ; sisters and brothers-in-law : Mary A. Zimmer of Sayre , PA and Evelyn & Lyle Gillette of Waverly , NY ; 18 grandchildren , 34 great grandchildren, several great great grandchildren , nieces , nephews , cousins , and a host of caring friends. Relatives and friends are invited to attend Gravesite Services on Tuesday September 20 , 2011 at 1 PM at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Elmira , NY.
