Obituary of Shirley A. Stage

Shirley A. Stage age 81 of Lowman, NY passed away on Saturday April 6, 2024 . She was born April 22, 1942 in Elmira , NY the daughter of Florin VanOstrand and Ida Mayo VanOstrand. Shirley married her husband, Charles L. Stage, on November 12, 1960 and they would have celebrated their 64th Wedding Anniversary on November 12, 2024. She was a retired Nurses' Aide at St. Joseph's Hospital in Elmira, NY after many years of dedicated service. Shirley was a long-time member of Excelsior Chapter, Order of Eastern Star Southern Light 460 in Breesport, NY. She loved her family and friends and treasured the time she spent with them. Shirley was pre-deceased by her parents; brother, Robert VanOstrand Sr.; brother-in-law, George Stage; sisters-in-law Irene Palmer and Virginia Silvernail. Shirley is survived by her loving and devoted husband Charles L. Stage ; son and daughter-in-law: John and Kim Stage of Horseheads, NY ; grandchildren: Evan and Jessica Stage , Joseph Stage , and Kathryn Stage; great grandchildren: Jaxon Stage and Alyvia Stage ; sister: Margaret Terwilliger; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of caring friends. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Shirley's Life that will be held at The Breesport Masonic Lodge #725 F&AM, 655 Main Street in Breesport, NY, on May 7, 2024 at 3:30PM. Shirley's Family has requested that in lieu of flowers Shirley be remembered through memorial contributions to the Masonic Lodge # 725 F &AM c/o John Stage 63 Terry Hill Rd. Horseheads, NY 14845.
