Obituary of Bonnie E. Pollow

Bonnie E. Pollow age 81 of Horseheads, NY passed away on Friday July 19, 2024. She was born July 1, 1943 in Cape Cod, Massachusetts the daughter of the late Lemuel and Virginia Merritt Shadduck. Bonnie received her Bachelor's Degree from Mansfield State Teacher's College and was a teacher in The Horseheads Central School System for 32 years. She was a member of The Red Hat Society and Common Time Choral Group. Bonnie enjoyed travelling to England and Mexico and spent winters in Lakeland, Florida. She was a long-time member of The First United Methodist Church of Horseheads. Bonnie was a die-hard New York Yankees fan and Buffalo Bills fan. Bonnie is survived by her loving and devoted husband Larry D. Pollow ; daughter and son-in-law: Kelly and Joe Gasienski of Horseheads, NY ; son and daughter-in-law : Chris and Debbie Porter of Clermont , Florida ; grandchildren: Brianna Nicole Porter and Tyler M. Porter; sister and brother-in-law: Kathie and Gary Goodwin of East Smithfield, PA; niece: Amy (Eric) Rancourt of Athens, PA; nephews: Jay (Liza) Kennedy and Cory (Angela) Goodwin all of East Smithfield, PA; life-long childhood friend Leslie Ann Larcom of Canton, PA ; friend Donna Wren who helped her through her last illness as well as many friends, neighbors, and extended family. Relatives and friends are invited to call at the LYNCH FUNERAL HOME 318 WEST BROAD STREET HORSEHEADS, NY on Tuesday July 30, 2024 from 5 to 7 PM. Bonnie's Funeral Services will be held at the Funeral Home on Wednesday July 31, 2024 at 11 AM with the Rev. Al Craig officiating. Bonnie will be laid to rest in East Canton Cemetery in Canton, PA.
