Obituary of Anita L. Donahue

Anita L. Donahue age 94 of Horseheads, NY passed away Thursday August 8, 2024 at Guthrie Robert Packer Hospital in Sayre, PA. She was born June 9, 1930 in Elmira, New York to James Beardsley Donahue and Laura Kluge Donahue. She attended schools in Horseheads, graduating with the class of 1948. Anita received her Bachelor's Degree in elementary education from SUNY Geneseo and taught at Ridge Road Elementary School in Horseheads for most of her career. Outside of school, Anita enjoyed reading, sewing, quilting, hiking, and bird watching.Anita was predeceased by her parents, her sister Josephine D. Larson, two brothers, James F. Donahue, and The Reverend Canon Ray L. Donahue, as well as several aunts, uncles, and cousins. Anita is survived by her nieces and nephews, Terrence Larson, Ronald Larson, Sharon Donahue Houck, William Donahue, Julie Larson Farr, and Timothy Donahue, and their families.
